I only run this course once a year. It's usually in January/ February ( but I was too busy then this year!)
For the first time ever, I have decided to run a summer course.
I find running the Photography Tutorial Club really rewarding - it gives me such a thrill to see that 'lightbulb moment' in people who have previously struggled to get the kind of images they've always wanted to take.
The course is spread over three lessons and one summary session.
Each session will have a maximum of three participants.
The lessons will comprise of theory and explanations, then supervised practise.
A ' homework ' project will be set between sessions, and supportive feedback provided.
The club will run on alternate weekends ( with a weekday club being a distinct possibility )
There are two locations to choose from - Richmond and Teddington ( both sites will be cafes within a park )
This years Photography Tutorial Club will begin on Saturday 22nd June and finish on Sunday 21st July.
The cost is £120
Sessions will generally take place in the morning. We'll meet over a coffee and chat through where you're at with your photography.
What would you like help with?
What have you enjoyed/found challenging so far?
Having the group dynamic is really interesting here.
Having run the tutorial club online during the pandemic, I know more than ever that real life, practical lessons are the easiest way to understand the whole process of getting the best from your camera.
This is Cristina - a 2020 photography tutorial club attendee, during one of our sessions.
She brought along a lensball one morning.
I had never used one before, and the whole group got to experiment with it!
The course is designed to be fun, enlightening and something which you choose to do for yourself - a bit of well deserved 'me time'.
I am a patient and easy going tutor.
I have been a full time pro photographer for around ten years now,but I am still learning new things all the time.
Each lesson will be taken at your own pace.
I feel enormous pride as I see students impressing themselves with the images they take as their journey progresses ( this image of me was taken and edited by a student during a practical session )
Whether you've never even taken your camera out of it's box,or have been experimenting with it for ages and would like a bit of guidance, this club will bring out the photographer in you that you always knew was there.
It's not as complicated as you might think.
These three ladies are previous attendees - each with their own ambitions and progress.I'm very proud of them :)
